March 23rd to March 27th, 2020

Women's Weight Lifting Week is all about helping anyone find their empowerment and progress to the next level of their physical (and mental and emotional) wellness! Held every March, all classes are taught by women and geared towards women. UNC Asheville students, faculty, and staff learn can learn the benefits of strength training, debunking common perpetuated myths about strength training, and how to find their STRENGTH. Choose between beginners topics for those who have never lifted a weight in their life, advanced topics for those who have attended in the past and want to beef up their established routines, and everything in between. No one will be turned away from events- we just want to create a safe space for women to learn traditionally male-dominated subjects.
