Outdoor Programs

UNC Asheville Campus Recreation’s Outdoor Programs is the go to outdoor resource for the campus community. Current students, faculty and staff have access to OPs trips, outdoor gear rentals, Kayak Roll sessions, and the bike shop. From land to water and everything in between, Outdoor Programs have something to offer everyone! Our program has been built on human powered adventure since the 1980’s.

Our goal is to enhance the liberal arts experience with outdoor adventures. To do this, we provide diverse opportunities to expand your horizon through new social interactions, environmental stewardship, and stepping outside your comfort zone. By using the foundations of experiential education, we foster the development of leadership skills and outdoor ethics in our student leaders and participants in the campus community.
