Visit Spring 2021 Programs & Services for the most up-to-date information regarding the reopening of Campus Recreation facilities and classes! Please note that reservations are required for all classes,  programs, and facility use. To best meet the needs of our students and campus community, Campus Recreation facilities, classes and activities, will only be available for currently registered students, faculty, and staff. 

The Campus Recreation Personal Training Program is designed to help students, faculty, and staff decode the world of exercise with a little help from one of our certified UNC Asheville student trainers. Whether you need an introduction to weight equipment, help with your power clean technique, or just want to learn more to start your fitness journey wherever you are you can make an appointment with one of our trainers to walk you through everything you need to know.

We are currently offering in person and virtual personal training sessions and are only available for students, faculty, and staff. Personal Training will be offered until November 20, 2020 for the Fall Semester. Personal Training will begin for the Spring Semester on January 18, 2021.

Spring 2021 Covid Student Special

With support from the NC Policy Collaboratory, Campus Recreation has several opportunities for current UNC Asheville students to access personal training.

  • All students are eligible to purchase our Personal Training Special Starter Package at 50% off.  This special package includes three sessions, comprised of an initial consultation/assessment and 2 training sessions.  Sessions can be in-person or virtual.
  • All students will receive a FREE at home fitness kit with the purchase of the Personal Training Special Starter Package.
  • Students who are referred by Health & Counseling to quarantine or isolate are eligible to receive a coupon to register for the Special Starter Package at no cost.  Please contact us to see if you are eligible at personaltrain.rec@unca.edu.

How do I schedule my first session?

Create your account and register here for a first time appointment. You will be contacted by one of our staff to begin the training process. For returning clients, please get in touch directly with your trainer!

Please be aware that this may not the right service if you are nursing an injury. If you need physical therapy or an injury screening, contact Mission Sports Medicine at 828.251.6480.
