Mind and Body
500 NowPoints! This 60 minute class will consist of roughly 30 minutes of yoga intended to facilitate roughly 30 minutes of guided meditation. The instructor will help you to cultivate resting awareness through the application of ancient yogic mindfulness techniques adapted for modern minds. Developing a meditation practice creates inner reflection that can pervade into everyday experiences, bringing with it ease and comfort. No experience with yoga or meditation required. Vinyasa Yoga- all levels
500 NowPoints! This 60-min flow yoga class is great for practitioners of any level. Both modifications (to make the flow easier) and amplifications (to make the flow more challenging) will be offered so that you can tailor the class to your needs for that day. 500 NowPoints! Self-care seems to get left behind and pushed aside during busy semesters or days. This gentle 60-minute yoga class is here to help reintroduce self-care practice and thoughts back into daily life. Practice will focus on remembering to be there for our bodies and intentions that center on taking care of our physical and mental health. Everyone of all levels is welcome to come practice. Slow Flow & Yin Yoga
500 NowPoints! This 75-minute yoga class is vinyasa-based with added awareness to breath, alignment, and intentional movement. Each class creates a space where the practitioner has time to explore their desire to move mindfully. We will combine aspects of yin yoga, meditation, and breathwork into each class. This class provides a wonderful way to wind down at the end of the day, and take time for yourself! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.
Yin + Yang Yoga
500 NowPoints! A 60-minute class that includes roughly 30 minutes of “Yang” practice- an invigorating Vinyasa flow- followed by 30 minutes of Yin- a slower practice focusing on the connective tissues and joints of the body. Through delving deeper into the body, we will begin to understand the nature of Yin and Yang and to discover how they reflect into our lives on and off of the yoga mat. 500 NowPoints! This 60-minute flow yoga class will focus on the main energy centers of the boy known in ancient yogic tradition as the chakras. Each class will theme around balancing and strengthening one of the seven chakras that govern specific emotions, sensations, and organ systems. This is an all-levels class that is accessible to everyone. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.
500 NowPoints! This 75-minute class helps the participant tap into their spiritual self through physical movement. Beginning with breathwork for grounding, participants will then flow into free movement, riding the highs and experiencing the lows. Together class participants will generate a collective connection, immersing in joy and the body. Come release the stress of the day and enjoy the flow of the music in a safe and fun community. Yoga Yourself to Sleep
500 NowPoints! This 60-minute yoga class offers poses and techniques that will empower the body, mind, and soul, while also allowing for both relaxation and restoration. Participants will explore holding yoga poses for longer with the aid of props to support the body, allowing both stretching and be strengthening. This class is appropriate for beginners and advanced yogis alike, and will consist of a more gentle, peaceful practice. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.
Yoga for Connection
500 NowPoints! This 75-min all-levels flow yoga class is a chance for you to pause life, breathe, and reconnect with your mind, body, and surroundings. Practicing yoga outside can improve your mental awareness, spiritual wellness, and better equip you to be your best self. Class will meet in the SRC lobby and go outside for practice, weather permitting. Rain location will be SRC 213-A. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.
Prana Flow Yoga
500 NowPoints! This 60-minute flow yoga class combines Pranayama (breathing meditation) and a chakra-focused sequence to balance and clear energy within the body and mind. This class is open to all levels of yoga experience and is perfect for those who want to connect a little deeper to their bodies and minds within their yoga practice. 500 NowPoints! This 30-minute class is for those who want to get the most out of their precious work-out time. Elevate your heart rate and maximize calorie burn in this high-intensity cycle class. No prior experience is necessary, but be ready to push your limits. Class size is limited to ten participants so come a bit early to grab a Cycle Class Pass. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

In this 60-minute class, you'll control your bike's resistance while the instructor takes you through a warm-up, steady up-tempo cadences, sprints, climbs, and finishes with a cool-down. A variety of challenges will be offered to maximize the cardio and strengthening effects of cycling. Class size is limited to ten participants so come a bit early to grab a Cycle Class Pass. 500 NowPoints! This low-impact, yet high-intensity 30-minute strengthening class focuses specifically on the abdominal and back regions. A great class for anyone wishing to achieve core strength and stability. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.
500 NowPoints! Five different exercises, 20 seconds at max effort with 10 seconds of rest, repeated four times per exercise! With this 30-minute tabata style class, you will receive full body strengthening and burn major calories. If you're looking for a great way to strengthen your body and develop muscle definition, then look no further! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

With this 45 or 60 minute cardio, kickboxing, martial arts, and body sculpting class all in one, you get a full body workout which focuses on strength, speed, flexibility, aerobic fitness, coordination, and balance. No previous experience is required, just bring yourself! Come and kick, jab, cross, hook, uppercut, and box your way to where you want to be! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.
500 NowPoints! Incorporating cardiovascular, core, and balance training, hooping is an enjoyable, creative way to experience a great workout for the body and mind. Using a variety of movement styles and hoops, participants will learn and sharpen their hooping ability while burning calories, building strength, and smiling excessively. All levels are welcome to this class as the teacher will provide more of a challenge for advanced participants and building blocks for beginners! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.
500 NowPoints! This strength-based class is an introduction to the sport of Olympic Weightlifting. You will learn the basics of the Snatch and Clean & Jerk as well as related strength exercises. Each class will consist of a warm up, daily skill focus, and finish with a strength workout. The programming is designed to be progressive, so the more often you attend, the more you learn, and the better you get! This class is open to all skill levels even if you have very little fitness experience. Whether you are just looking to try something new or have an interest in competing, this class is for you! 500 NowPoints! This 60 minute class combines strengthening exercises and aerobic dance to provide you with a fun and fit experience. Each class will start with a dance inspired, strengthening warm-up. The remainder of class will include learning an excerpt of beginner/intermediate hip hop choreography. All levels are welcome! 500 NowPoints! This 60-minute class is a full body workout, allowing participants to push themselves as they move through various exercise stations. Each exercise will range in duration from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, with a rest period in between. Both strength training and cardio are included and all experience levels are welcome. Small Group Training
500 Now Points! This 60-minute class will work on your strength and cardio by utilizing “the rig” in our Fitness Room, free weights, kettle bells, the TRX, and even barbells. First, participants will focus on building muscular strength with some technique work- like deadlifts, back squats, or other full-body movements- and then they will work on muscular endurance and cardio with a short HIIT or circuit style workout. This class is best for those with some strength training experience but all levels are welcome! Class size is limited to 10 participants so come early to snag a Class Pass.
