Check out the tabs below to see which classes would be a good fit. Keep in mind that anyone can attend any class they want because all instructors offer modifications throughout the class. With all we have to offer, there's bound to be a class for everyone!

You must have your OneCard to participate in group fitness classes.

Mind and Body

Yoga + Meditation

This 60 minute class will consist of 30 minutes of yoga intended to facilitate 30 minutes of silent sitting meditation. The instructor may incorporate mindfulness and other guided meditations to prime your mind and body for silent sitting. Intentions will be set in class or bring your own to your practice. No experience with yoga or meditation required- this would be a great place to start for those new to either practice. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Power Yoga

This 60-minute flow yoga class takes your practice to the next level. You’ll move through basic poses but with the chance deepen each one. Participants will have the chance to work on harder poses and maybe even an inversion, arm balance, or other challenging posture. Its power yoga for a reason! Some yoga experience is recommended but not required as both options to make postures harder and easier will be provided. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Yoga Breathing + Meditation

We practice yoga for many reasons, one of them being to prepare the body for meditation. Meditation is a crucial part of any yoga practice. This 45-minute class will be spent on breathing exercises and a variety of meditation techniques. Each week we will practice meditation in different ways and learn mantras to help deepen the practice. If you're looking to deepen your yoga practice or looking to start one- this is the perfect class for you. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Self Care Yoga

Self-care seems to get left behind and pushed aside during busy semesters or days. This gentle 60-minute yoga class is here to help reintroduce self-care practice and thoughts back into daily life. Practice will focus on remembering to be there for our bodies and intentions that center on taking care of our physical and mental health. Everyone of all levels is welcome to come practice. Late Night Yoga

This 75-minute yoga class is vinyasa-based with added awareness to breath, alignment, and intentional movement. Each class creates a space where the practitioner has time to explore their desire to move mindfully. We will combine aspects of yin yoga, meditation, and breathwork into each class. This class provides a wonderful way to wind down at the end of the day, and take time for yourself! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Vinyasa Yoga- all levels

This 60-min flow yoga class is great for practitioners of any level. Both modifications (to make the flow easier) and amplifications (to make the flow more challenging) will be offered so that you can tailor the class to your needs for that day. Yoga Express

This 45-minute flow yoga class is designed for those who don’t have time for 60 or 75 minutes of yoga but still want the benefits of the practice. Take a break from homework or work and join in on this class for a dose of stress relief, self-connection, and to increase your flexibility and strength both on and off the mat. This class will be accessible to all yoga experience levels. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

All Bodies Yoga

Yoga bodies are every size, shape, and weight. Every race, gender, and age. They come with varying abilities, mobility, and experiences of trauma. However, many people are often excluded from yoga spaces because of their nonconforming body. Through Vinyasa flow, we will build a practice that fits our individual bodies and a space that celebrates our radical self. This class is open to all, but is specifically centered around those who don’t conform to the body type that is often marketed as the ideal (or the only). Specific attention will be given to ensure that the yoga practice is accessible to everyone. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Body Lovin’ Yoga

This class is founded on the idea that yoga can help us heal our relationships with our body and promote radical self-love. Through a Vinyasa-based flow, we will explore what feels good in our own body and celebrate the strength, power, and revolutionary nature of our body. Together we will find tangible steps- on and off the mat- toward being okay with and eventually loving our body just as it is! Awareness Yoga

This 60-minute class uses the experience of yoga postures to bring each student's mind to the present moment. Practicing resting awareness in the body during each pose cultivates mindfulness that can pervade into everyday experiences, bringing with it ease and comfort. Attention will be given to ensure that the yoga practice is accessible to all. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Self Care Yin Yoga

Self-care is essential for self-love. In this class, we will explore caring for oneself through yin yoga, a practice that incorporates long-held, supported poses that allow us to get deep into the body’s connective tissue, into our breath, and into reflection. Movement will focus on feeling good in our bodies and developing our own practice. Themes will focus on using self-care techniques and positive self-talk to move closer to self-love. Yin + Yang Yoga

A 60-minute class that includes roughly 30 minutes of “Yang” practice- an invigorating Vinyasa flow- followed by 30 minutes of Yin- a slower practice focusing on the connective tissues and joints of the body. Through delving deeper into the body, we will begin to understand the nature of Yin and Yang and to discover how they reflect into our lives on and off of the yoga mat. Chakra Yoga

This 60-minute flow yoga class will focus on the main energy centers of the boy known in ancient yogic tradition as the chakras. Each class will theme around balancing and strengthening one of the seven chakras that govern specific emotions, sensations, and organ systems. This is an all-levels class that is accessible to everyone. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Immersive Movement

This 75-minute class helps the participant tap into their spiritual self through physical movement. Beginning with breathwork for grounding, participants will then flow into free movement, riding the highs and experiencing the lows. Together class participants will generate a collective connection, immersing in joy and the body. Come release the stress of the day and enjoy the flow of the music in a safe and fun community. This is an all-levels class that is accessible to everyone. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Restorative Yoga

This 60-minute yoga class offers poses and techniques that will empower the body, mind, and soul, while also allowing for both relaxation and restoration. Participants will explore holding yoga poses for longer with the aid of props to support the body, allowing both stretching and be strengthening. This class is appropriate for beginners and advanced yogis alike, and will consist of a more gentle, peaceful practice. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Self Love Yoga

This 60-minute flow yoga class is intended to bring awareness to one’s self, and inspire self-confidence through the practice of yoga. Students at all levels of yoga practice are welcome. All that is needed is a desire to connect with yourself on a more introspective level and to learn how to love yourself unconditionally. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga

This 60-minute class will challenge your strength, test your balance, and have you laughing all at the same time! Yoga sequences will be performed on a paddle board in the pool- making it a fun and different experience. No experience with either yoga or paddle boarding is necessary- come to learn and be introduced to both! Be sure to bring or wear a swimsuit/sports bra and spandex shorts for women and swim trunks or spandex shorts for men. Class size is limited to ten participants so come a bit early to grab a SUP Yoga Class Pass. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Indoor Cycle

Cycle Express

This 30-minute class is for those who want to get the most out of their precious work-out time. Elevate your heart rate and maximize calorie burn in this high-intensity cycle class. No prior experience is necessary, but be ready to push your limits. Class size is limited to ten participants so come a bit early to grab a Cycle Class Pass.

Cycle

In this 60-minute class you'll control your bike's resistance while the instructor takes you through a warm-up, steady up-tempo cadences, sprints, climbs, and finishes with a cool down to finish. A varuety of challenges will be offered to maximize the cardio and slight strength training effects of cycling. Class size is limited to ten participants so come a bit early to grab a Cycle Class Pass.

Cycle and Strength

In this 60-minute class, you will experience a roughly 40 minute indoor cycle sequence followed by a 20 minute body weight strengthening session focusing on upper body and core. A fun and full-body challenge to work your cardiovascular system and strengthen your muscles! Class size is limited to ten participants so come a bit early to grab a Cycle Class Pass. Cardio/Strength

Strong Core

This low-impact, yet high-intensity 30-minute strengthening class focuses specifically on the abdominal and back regions. A great class for anyone wishing to achieve core strength and stability. Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Tabata Express

Five different exercises, 20 seconds at max effort with 10 seconds of rest, repeated four times per exercise! With this 30-minute tabata style class, you will receive full body strengthening and burn major calories. If you're looking for a great way to strengthen your body and develop muscle definition, then look no further! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Kickboxing Express

With this 30 minute cardio, kickboxing, martial arts, and body sculpting class all in one, you get a full body workout which focuses on strength, speed, flexibility, aerobic fitness, coordination, and balance! No previous experience is required, just bring yourself! Come and kick, jab, cross, hook, uppercut, and box your way to where you want to be! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Hooping

Incorporating cardiovascular, core, and balance training, hooping is an enjoyable, creative way to experience a great workout for the body and mind. Using a variety of movement styles and hoops, participants will learn and sharpen their hooping ability while burning calories, building strength, and smiling excessively. All levels are welcome to this class as the teacher will provide more of a challenge for advanced participants and building blocks for beginners! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Circuit Training

This 60-minute class is a full body workout, allowing participants to push themselves as they move through various exercise stations. Each exercise will range in duration from 30 seconds to 2 minutes, with a rest period in between. Both strength training and cardio are included and all experience levels are welcome. This class is a great way to diversify your workout! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Werk It Out

Werk it Out is a 60-minute dance fusion class with attitude dedicated to providing participants a full body work out while also encouraging self-expression through creative and fun movement. The class will often start with a cardio warm-up, often inspired by Zumba or cardio dance. Body weight exercises, fitness circuits, equipment and other strengthening exercises will be introduced as the class progresses. The class will end with a dance jam in which participants will be taught a short segment of hip-hop choreography. The dance footwork and patterns are beginner friendly and open to all levels. Body Weight Bootcamp

This 60 minute class focuses on using the body as a fitness tool- no free weights or fancy equipment required! Body Weight Bootcamp is open to all experience levels and amplifications and modifications will be given for the majority of the exercises so participants can tailor the challenge level to what they need that day. This class provides participants with knowledge of exercises they may do without gym access, or exercises they may add additional weight to when at the gym. Expect a mix of cardio and strengthening for a well-rounded workout to maximize your time! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.

Hip Hop

This 60 minute class combines strengthening exercises and aerobic dance to provide you with a fun and fit experience. Each class will start with a dance inspired, strengthening warm-up. The remainder of class will include learning an excerpt of beginner/intermediate hip hop choreography. All levels are welcome! Free and open to all UNC Asheville OneCard holders.
