You work Hard, so play Hard!

Campus Recreation offers a wide variety of classes for students, faculty, and staff. Incorporate one or more group fitness classes into your day to stay on your path to good health. Laboratory-based studies continue to show the effectiveness of exercise on reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, stroke, osteoporosis, type 2 diabetes, obesity, colon cancer, breast cancer, anxiety, and depression.

Like the gym? Check out our Matrix© and Cybex© weight equipment and our state-of-the-art Precor© treadmills (with personal TV), ellipticals, upright and recumbent bikes, and adaptive motion trainers that allow you to change your stride.

Don't like the Gym? You can still get your exercise going to group fitness classes like yoga, hooping, spin, or CrossFit-type training! Check out our group fitness classes.

You must have your OneCard to participate in group fitness classes.

Participants should be aware that there is an inherent risk to participating in Campus Recreation programs or facilities.  It is strongly recommended that all participants (especially those who are pregnant or have chronic illnesses) have a physical examination and secure adequate medical clearance prior to participation. Since all activities are voluntary, UNC Asheville Campus Recreation assumes no responsibility for injuries, monetary expenses incurred for medical treatment, or transportation for emergency care. Please report all injuries to the facility supervisor on duty.
